Seth & Kristi – An Elegant Rustic Country Maryland Backyard Wedding – Part 1

Seth and Kristi had the most beautiful Saturday in June to celebrate their marriage at Kristi’s family farm in Westminster, Maryland. Their wedding was definitely a family affair! Family or friends covered almost every aspect of their wedding. (All vendor links are at the bottom of this post). Kristi’s parents also co-own Bullock’s Restaurant, which catered the reception. A family friend, Becky Rickell, provided all of the florals. Friends and family did hair and makeup. Kristi grew up with the daughter of one of the owners of Love It At Stella’s Bridal and Formal where the gown and bridesmaids dresses came from. A family friend was the videographer. My dad performed their marriage ceremony! That was really neat because it was the first wedding I got to “work” with my dad at! My dad and the bride’s mom are actually first cousins so I am family, too! I’m sure that I’ve missed some important mentions, so please forgive me. It was so neat being part of a celebration that brought together so many family and friends, not just to attend, but to work together to bring this couple’s dreams to life.

This is Part 1 of Seth & Kristi’s wedding day. With having two photographers, a great “first look” (below!), amazing details and decorations, and almost 500 guests, I couldn’t possibly fit all of my favorite images that tell the story of their wedding day into one post. So stay tuned for Part 2!

My lovely second photographer for this event was Katy Murray of Katy Murray Photography. Some of her wonderful photos are featured here too! These great ring shots on the lace dress by Katy. :) Guys have it so easy on a wedding day! ;) This is the gorgeous private estate where I had the pleasure of photographing Seth and Kristi’s engagement portraits last fall! So it was the perfect setting for their private “first look” on their wedding day! If you look close you can spy Katy taking a few shots of the groom. And this is why I LOVE first looks!!! Kristi’s grandmother’s ring was tied to her bouquet. What a perfect way for Kristi to carry her grandmother with her on her wedding day! Great shot of the flowers and awesome hinges on the barn doors Katy! The owners of the estate were so gracious to let us take over their property for about an hour! Enjoy a few candids! Be on the lookout! Part 2 coming at you soon!
